A total of 11 organizations comprising Petronas, Top Glove, Immigration Department, Road Transport Department, Lembaga Tabung Haji, Pengerang and Seberang Perai local authorities, Subang Jaya Municipal Council, ANGKASA, Malaysia Qualification Agency, and Yayasan Pahang have been awarded certificates of appreciation in conjunction with the launch of SIRIM QAS International's Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Scheme at the SIRIM Industry 2017 awards night held recently at Dorsett Grand Subang Hotel. All eleven organizations were part of a pilot certification programme implemented by SIRIM QAS International in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Association of Malaysian Certified Integrity Office.
The Anti-Bribery Management System Certification Scheme is based on ISO 37001:2016, which outlines the needs for organizations in detecting, preventing and responding to corrupt practices, and provides guidance to organizations, in line with requirements of MACC Act 2009, and other anti-bribery prevention laws. The standard is also used by the Standard Department of Malaysia as MS ISO 37001:2016.
